Home education encompasses a huge and broad continuum of philosophies, practice and terminology. There are also different interpretations across the globe. At one end of the spectrum it can be home-schooling (very much school, but at home) at the other it can encompass more autonomous forms like unschooling. The vast majority of home education is situated somewhere between these poles and includes experiences from the home base and often together with other home educating families in informal and sometimes formal groupings.
