Facebook group The Centre for Personalised Education

THIS IS A CLOSED GROUP but open to anyone interested in education

Our agenda is to define and share the benefits of personalised education and learning. We seek to envision a new personalised educational landscape – integrating learning, life and community.

Personalised Education Now seeks to promote educational ‘alternatives for everybody, all of the time’. This would meet the learning needs, lifestyles and life choices made by individuals, families and communities.
We advocate education based on learner-managed learning, using a flexible catalogue curriculum, located in a variety of settings, and operating within a framework of democratic values and practices. An educator becomes, pre-dominantly, ‘the guide on the side’ rather than ’the sage on the stage’.
We engage in
– Supporting practitioners, individuals, groups and organizations developing the personalised agendas
– Bringing members and groups together at learning exchanges and national conferences
– Publishing newsletters, journals and books via Educational Heretics Press
– Developing a comprehensive web presence, blog and archive
– Research
– Networking with other groups and projects
– Influencing the national and international debate on the future of education, schooling and learning
– Influencing the research agendas
