STAND OUT IN A GLOBAL MARKET – BIRMINGHAM
Tuesday, 23 October, 2018
Stand Out in a Global Market will be touring the country once again this autumn! Organised in collaboration between Euroguidance UK and Eurodesk UK, the events will inspire young people to kick-start their careers by gaining experience abroad, from vocational courses and volunteering opportunities, to international student exchanges and work placements.
The free one-day events are open to all young people aged 16-18 and are being held in Birmingham and Leeds:
23rd October – MAC Birmingham
14th November – St George’s Centre, Leeds
With Brexit on the horizon, we will explore the international opportunities available to young people post-2019 and demonstrate how experiences gained abroad will be of benefit to their future careers.
Both Euroguidance and Eurodesk have acted as national centres for international careers guidance and support for young people for over 25 years. Therefore, attendees will have the chance to gain valuable advice and information on which international path may be right for them.
Talks and workshops take place alongside an exhibition, with topics to be covered ranging from how to make the most of international experience at home and abroad, to gap year options and applying to universities abroad.
In Birmingham, the event is coordinated by Eurodesk UK and it will take place on Tuesday 23 October. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Travel by public transport to the venue (MAC Birmingham) can be reimbursed.
