A Comparative Analysis of Home Education in Eight Local Authorities and Nationally: Preliminary Report
Following Lord Soley’s Bill to introduce compulsory monitoring of home educating families and the publication of draft home education guidance for consultation, MP’s have been approached by families seeking support to protect their children and their civil liberties, from what these changes would entail.
Sean Cheasley found that MPs knew very little about home education, or the perspectives of home educating families and set out to change that with this informative research.
A Comparative Analysis of Home Education in Eight Local Authorities and Nationally: Preliminary Report
Sean is an Account Director for a software company, who has been married for 17 years. He and his wife have two children, who initially attended school, but have been home educated for the last 6 years.
Sean has degrees in Statistics and Education, is a qualified teacher and lectures part-time at Warwick University.
