AERO – Survival Success
CPE / PEN News and Comment, E-briefing, innovation, Links, Uncategorized · Tagged: AERO
From AERO E-News 14.12.2009. We’re delighted the AERO survival campaign has succeeded in such a quick time.
We are happy to tell you that AERO has reached its goal of $20,000 including the recent $5,000 matching grant! This will keep AERO’s offices open and projects continuing without disruption for the next quarter. We received 160 donations from 30 different states (plus the District of Columbia) and provinces and 13 countries. We are humbled at this outpouring of support for our work and would like to thank everyone who contributed.
Our yearly budget for all of our staff, offices and programs is only a bit over $100,000–not much for an organization of our reach. Some of our staff forgo getting paid so others can be when we are low on funds, as we have been this year. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation before the end of 2009, we can certainly use the funds. We are hopeful that we will be successful in our upcoming grant applications. These grants have been largely responsible for the fact that AERO is still here after 20 years of operation. Our other sources of income include online book and DVD sales, online course tuition, and conference income after expenses. Our commitment to assisting low income participants has meant our income from the conference has been minimal in recent years. We hope you will all come to this year’s conference featuring Herb Kohl, John Gatto and many, many others!
If you are able to make a tax-deductible donation to AERO’s continued success, you may do so from this site:
