With less than a year to go before the next general election, all the main political parties in England support the idea of 14-19 as a distinct phase in education and training. We are delighted that Steve Besley, Head of Policy at Edexcel, will be joining us to assess where Labour, the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats have reached in their thinking on 14-19.
14 – 19: Where the Main Parties Stand
05 November 2009, 2pm – 4pm. £99 plus VAT **Friends’ rate £89.10 plus VAT. London
This policy briefing will consider where each of the main parties stand on 14 – 19 education and training issues. Considering each party in term, Steve Besley of Edexcel will set out the respective policies. Mark Corney, Policy Advisor to the Campaign for Learning, will act as respondent. Following the presentation there will then be plenty of opportunities for delegates to raise questions and discuss the issues.
