In light of the recent ‘Digital Britain’ report, Futurelab’s annual conference will be dedicated to exploring the opportunities and challenges for young people in becoming digitally active, and the implications for the professionals who work with them. Aimed at education practitioners, researchers and policy makers, ‘Seen and Heard: Young people creating digital media’ will take place on Thursday 8th October in Bristol.
There will be keynotes from Channel 4, the British Film Institute and Creativity, Culture and Education (CCE) England, and presentations from a number of innovative practitioners who are using digital media in the classroom. A selection of hands-on workshops will also be available including Imitating the Dog, Radio in Schools and Chew TV.
