These Futurelab sessions are always thought provoking and push at the boundaries of mainstream eductaional thinking.
The Future of Education: Research Discussion Day
10am – 4pm, Tuesday 19th May 2009

Lunch and refreshments will be served
Futurelab is holding a Research Discussion Day on 19th May featuring a mix of Futurelab’s current research findings as well as the latest thinking from the wider worlds of education and industry.
The day will feature a mixture of Futurelab presentations and external speakers focusing on the following themes:
Teachers and innovations – supporting innovative educational practices
Transforming learning spaces– thinking beyond the classroom
Informal and family learning – exploring the wider learning landscape
There will also be an opportunity to learn more about the DCSF/Futurelab ‘Beyond Current Horizons’ project exploring longer term challenges for education, looking towards understanding potential transformations in society and technology in 2025 and beyond.
There is a fee for attending this event of £65 per person (early bird rate of £55 available until 19th April) and this will include lunch and refreshments. To book a place, go to www.futurelab.org.uk/events.
