Sector Compacts: Their Role in the English Skills System. Four sector compacts between DIUS, LSC and Sector Skills Councils were announced in May 2008, and more are expected. Have they, as planned, driven up the demand for skills through Train to Gain, whilst ensuring the flexibility in the offer required by employers?

Stephen North of the Workplace Training Unit at DIUS will join us to provide an opening presentation and Mark Corney, Policy Adviser to the Campaign, will act as respondent. As usual delegates will have plenty of opportunities to discuss the key issues and raise any questions. The event is priced at £99 plus VAT and will run from 2 – 4pm.
