Give a Book Week – Press notification
One of the key campaigns of the National Year of Reading in Wales is an innovative campaign which encourages people from across Wales to embrace
the gift of reading and give one another a book during the week of 7th- 12th July 2008. Working with celebrities and key individuals across Wales to identify their favourite books, the Give a Book Week campaign will provide numerous press and media opportunities.
The build up to the week long event includes:

26th-31st of May – Distribution of campaign materials at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Conwy and Hay Festival

High profile launch event

2nd-27th June – all-Wales email campaign –
Bring a book to your inbox

16th June – Press and media opportunities focusing on celebrity endorsement of books and Give a Book Campaign

27th June – All Wales advertising campaign

Press and Media briefing event

7th- 12th July Give a Book week – daily press and media opportunities for celebrity and community involvement across Wales.
